As the owner of The Sewing Basket, Mary has transformed something which was her passionate interest into her business. Mary is determined to ensure that the people of the Sunshine Coast have ready access to the most comprehensive range of sewing, patchwork and craft supplies sourced from around the globe. Kay Johns

Kay has a passion for overlockers and creates some unique projects suitable for the beginner to the advanced overlocker enthusiast. Her overlocker know-how classes are comprehensive and enable many students to better understand their machine. Kay has been sewing all her life and uses all that knowledge in creating and teaching new and innovative projects. Kay is bubbly, cooks beautifully and has an absolute thirst for new techniques.

Monica McCarthy

Having taught for many years, Monica has a wonderful talent for passing on her love of hand embroidery and appliqué. Monica has produced some stunning projects including foundation piecing and ribbon embroidery and students are continually lining up for places in her classes. Monica has a beautiful heart and this is reflected in her day to day dealings with customers and staff.
